Investments in Caring PA (IIC PA) is a free, online, child care toolkit for Pennsylvania’s employers. Created in response to a survey conducted by the PA Chamber and the PA Early Learning Investment Commission (ELIC), IIC PA helps employers of all sizes mitigate child care challenges faced by their employees and community. Andrea Heberlein, ELIC’s Executive Director, will:

  • Discuss the child care landscape across the commonwealth.
  • Present the economic impact data resulting from insufficient child care.
  • Provide a brief overview of quality child care framed in a strategic, workforce development lens.
  • Explore the website, highlighting the business toolkit, family toolkit, and success stories.
  • Demonstrate business-specific tools, including calculating losses resulting from lack of child care.
  • Respond to questions and suggestions.
