We’re excited to share that we have two interns and a policy fellow on the Team for the summer! Cindy Li, Mariah Najera, and Max Drickey have all been working with our policy leads to enhance their knowledge of statewide economic development through a variety of program focuses. Take a few minutes to learn more about them below.

Cindy is a prospective economics and statistics & data science double major at Yale University. She has been contributing to the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) equity audit and gap analysis. She’s excited to gain more experience with policy work in a nonprofit organization setting.

Mariah is also an undergraduate student at Yale University, majoring in Psychology and pursuing a certificate in Education Studies. Her current work at Team Pennsylvania involves researching the potential of a “re-entrant to agriculture work” program to alleviate workforce shortages in the agriculture industry while creating rehabilitative experiences for justice-involved individuals. She’s been conducting interviews with key stakeholders and is working on a final report with further recommendations.

Cindy and Mariah’s internship have been made possible through 1stGenYale Summer Bulldogs program.
