Investor Exchange with DCED Secretary Dennis Davin

Earlier this month, Team Pennsylvania hosted an Investor Exchange event at Carnegie Mellon University, Heinz Policy School. Investor Exchanges are an opportunity for Team Pennsylvania investors, stakeholders, business leaders, and board members to convene and engage in an open conversation about special topics and advances in the business community. Team Pennsylvania coordinates with our public sector partners to contribute executive-level expertise in these conversations.

The special guest speaker for this event, Secretary Dennis Davin, of the Pennsylvania Department Community and Economic Development, discussed how the department was part of an initiative through Team Pennsylvania and Carnegie Mellon, Heinz Policy School, to identify current issues for Heinz Policy Innovation Lab graduate-level students to address. The final versions of the projects are now in the hands of public sector leadership, who can use those end projects to the extent they choose, but they will not be shared publicly.

Secretary Davin also discussed the department’s initiatives to promote the commonwealth internationally and domestically as well as Pennsylvania’s manufacturing industry and the ‘What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?’ program.

Thank you to those who joined us for this valuable time of dialogue.
