PA Companies Explore Export Opportunities to 52 Countries

In September, Team PA provided funding in support of the Office of International Business Development (OIBD)’s annual Bringing the World to PA – Trade (BTW2PA) events, hosted in partnership with the Regional Export Network (REN). 14 of Pennsylvania’s 15 Authorized Trade Representatives (ATR) representing 52 countries travelled to Pennsylvania to embark on a two-week tour around our commonwealth.

PA companies interested in exporting their products met one-on-one with ATR’s to discuss foreign market intelligence, agents and distributor candidates and industry and government contracts. In addition to meetings with ATRs, participants could also attend market presentations, educational seminars and networking receptions based on their location. There were ten stops total during the tour in: Bethlehem, Philadelphia, Glenside, Harrisburg, State College, Johnstown, Pittsburgh, Erie, Kersey, and Pocono Manor. In total, over two weeks, 276 companies participated in BTW2PA – Trade. 95 of those companies were new to OIBD’s trade program. If your company is interested in exploring export opportunities, please contact Lindsay Helsel at Lindsay@teampa.com to set up a time to discuss further.
